Angela drove us there which took about 30 mins, we got there and headed on the tour. We got our own tour guide and she took us down to the salt mines. It was quite far down and got pretty cold down there. The tour was ok all in all. It did go for way too long though. It probably took about 2 and a half hours all up and went for about 2 hours too long. I mean it was nice, there was a church that was made completely of salt which was very cool. It took us forever to get back up to the main area and if was getting cabin fever down there. Haha
We got taken back to the hotel and then got ready for dinner as we were having pierogi's tonight for those that chose to do the optional dinner. The dinner was really good, they bought out our entrees which was the pierogi's (polish dumplings) this was basically a main as it was pretty big. There were a lot of different types of pierogi's on the plate and they were very filling. They also had a pierogi making demonstration and you got to try and make some if you wanted to. The dinner stretched out making till 2 hours which was probably a good thing as it gave the pierogi's some time to settle before they bought out ALOT of meats and potatoes and cabbage. This really was a polish feast, after the main they bought out a polish dessert which was kind of like a pavlova but not really. It tasted like a meringue without the crust. After dinner we walked back to the hotel and then most people just went to bed as tomorrow was going to be a long day and an early start.
Until next time sexy people,
Ray
