Today in order to actually get to land, we had to take a ferry from the main ship as there is no pier big enough that the main ship can connect with. The ferry takes you to a pier right in front of a beach. We had to get card numbers and when our number was called we would go and board the ferry. We packed a few towels as we knew we were going to be at the beach and wanted to lay down. None of us swam besides my dad, I did dip my legs in the water though. It was very clear and beautiful, but there were rocks in the sand so it made it quite painful to walk around. Around the beach area where we got dropped off, there were locals there doing massages and braiding peoples hair for about $8-10 AUD. There were also people selling coconuts for $3 AUD, I didn't get one but looking back I should have. I still have some francs left that my mum exchanged for me. I didn't stay at the beach for long. I left after about an hour and half and headed back to the ship on the ferry.
Once I got back to the ship, I went to the back of deck 12 where there are nice sun beds and is also a child free zone; there is also a bar called the oasis. I was soaking in some sun from there and working on my tan for about an hour and a half. Since the buffet was right next to the oasis, I decided to get some lunch at about 12:30pm. I ran into my parents and sisters whilst I was getting food, but they were sitting in a four person table so I just took my food outside to soak up some more sun and enjoy the sea side view.
After lunch I was going to go back to the room and relax, but as I was walking through the main pool area, I saw that they were showing This Is It (Michael Jackson documentary) on the big screen. So I decided to stay and watch it. I love watching movies on the big screen as I get to lay by the pool and just relax and watch the movie. I stayed out by the pool deck for about 3 hours, after which I decided to go back to the cabin and have a shower and get ready for dinner which we have booked for 5:45pm at the waterfront.
Until next time sexy people,
Ray
